When the Jewish people fulfill their calling and not only hear the Torah but obey it and live out the Torah before the nations, it should come as no surprise that many Gentiles will flock to it as well--by faith in the Goal of the Torah - Messiah Yeshua. But far too many in the first century, like Shammai, resented such interest. This wrong belief and misunderstanding of the Gentile relationship to Torah carries over even today in some Jewish, Messianic & traditional Christian perspectives. Rather than a negative, Paul wants his readers and all of us to see the Gentile interest in the Torah as a fulfillment of prophecy and what God has wanted all along.
