Torah #30 - Leviticus, Jubilee & the Messianic Era

The last chapters of Leviticus include some important concepts. The 7th year resting of the land, the Shmeta; the 50th year of Jubilee--and the returning of land and freedom, among others. These important concepts shape Jewish thinking and writing--even Paul as seen in Colossians 1 when he writes about how Messiah rescued us from the dominion of darkness and delivered us into the Kingdom of the Son. The Freedom or Release we have is directly tied to Jubilee. Even Leviticus points us to Messiah & the Kingdom.
