The School of Shammai didn't think Gentiles had a place in the World to Come, aka the Messianic era. So Paul asks if God is God of the Jews only or also the Gentiles? Paul emphatically declares ADONAI is also God of the Gentiles. And the Torah is upheld because of a Righteousness that is apart from the Torah that comes by faith in the promised Messiah.
