Restoration Fellowship thinks it is important to ask 2 basic questions about our faith & practice.

1) If something is commanded in the Scriptures and we are not doing it, why aren't we and when did we stop?

2)  If something is not in the Scriptures or forbidden in the Scriptures and we are doing it, why are we and when did we start?

In light of these questions, Restoration Fellowship seeks to keep the biblical Feasts, the weekly Sabbath, and the Torah.

Of course, none of these contribute to earning our salvation, but rather, because we are saved as the people of God, we seek to live in the way He has called His people to live.

Pastor Kelly Reed has been a pastor in Southern Baptist churches since 2001 in Missouri, Illinois & Tennessee.  Both he and his wife Vicky graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with MDiv degrees and both are thankful that being led by the Spirit and taught by God never stops.

Starting slowly about 2006 the whole family has been on this journey toward Messianic & Hebraic perspectives.  We have all learned more and grown the most since starting this journey.

Carefully checking the Scriptures when our traditional perspectives were challenged has been the most important step.

We are thankful for God's patience and willingness to call us to this journey.

We are also thankful to be partnering with the Southern Baptist Messianic Fellowship and cooperating church within the SBC and NAMB

Explanation of our Motto:

The Tree and the Menorah figure prominently in the Scriptures.
  1. The Tree of Life – the Story of God starts in a Garden with the Tree of Life.  Revelation 22 ends with the Garden restored and the Tree of Life available now that the curse of sin has been removed.

  2. The Olive Tree—a Symbol of the Nation of Israel & the Kingdom of God--Paul refers to this in Romans 11:17-24.

  3. The Menorah—a representation of the Tree of Life & the Light of the World.  The menorah continues to be  used as a symbol for the nation of Israel.

  4. Yeshua is the Life and the Light—and is central to life and faith.  He is the Messiah, the Word made Flesh, and all the fullness of deity in bodily form (Colossians 2:9).
Yeshua is His name in Hebrew and means "Salvation".  So as you read through what we call the Old Testament and come across the word "salvation" as in Psalm 27:1--"The LORD is my light and my Yeshua, whom shall I fear."  Realize you are speaking His Name every time you say Salvation

  5. Yeshua is also hanging from the tree--this is the story of  redemption that God revealed from the beginning.  Yeshua hanging from the tree is how the apostles often described the crucifixion in fulfillment of Deuteronomy 21:23--see Acts 5:30; cf. 10:39; 1 Pet 2:24, Galatians 3:13

  6. Acts 3:21--"Heaven must receive Him, until the time of the restoration of all the things that God spoke about long ago through the mouth of His holy prophets."

God is going to restore all things to His perfect ways.  We must realize that not only creation, but His people need restoration.  That means every church and ministry needs correction because none of us are doing everything right in our faith and practice.

So to the best of our abilities, we must strive for those things that please Him and thus worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.  These are things that He has spoken from the beginning.
